Lloydminster Public School Division is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as the Coordinator of Out of School Care & Community Connections. This position plays a vital role in providing safe, inclusive, and enriching before and after school care programming for students across the division.  This position will commence May 12, 2025.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, support staff, build community partnerships, and assist in marketing and nutrition-related initiatives. This is a dynamic position that blends child care, leadership, creativity, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and support program staff, including training and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students by following division policies and procedures.
  • Manage program operations including attendance, incident reporting, and inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and community partners.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety standards and emergency protocols.
  • Seek and apply for nutrition-related grant opportunities.
  • Support school use of nutrition funding.
  • Promote school division events and student successes via social media and other platforms.
  • Assist with media relations and content creation as needed

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Care, Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or care settings.
  • Previous supervisory or program coordination experience is an asset.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, administrators, parents, and community agencies.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram.
  • Comfortable using Canva or similar design tools.
