The Lloydminster Public School Division is seeking dynamic individuals to fill multiple continuing full-time teaching positions at The Pursuit School of Sport.  The positions will commence on August 25, 2025.

The Lloydminster Public School Division is a progressive school division with the focus on excellence for our students and staff.  Lloydminster Public School Division serves approximately 4200 students in 9 schools, all within the growing city of Lloydminster.  The city of Lloydminster is located in both the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta, with all schools following the Saskatchewan curriculum.  

The Pursuit School of Sport will be opening in September 2025 and serve student athletes in grades 6-12 who require flexibility in their academic schedule due to training, travel, or competitions taking place during the regular school day.  The school schedule follows a four-day school week with Fridays off for travel and competition.  The program incorporates a flexible in-person learning model, ensuring students stay on track with curriculum requirements while pursuing their athletic ambitions. The successful candidates will:

  • Possess strong instructional, assessment, and classroom management skills.
  • Have the ability to teach at the middle school and high school level.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to creating a flexible learning environment where students can demonstrate learning outcomes in a variety of ways.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be team oriented and have an understanding of the supports needed by student athletes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency using various educational technologies to support student learning.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to building strong relationships within the school and the larger community.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment.

The successful candidates will be required to qualify for Saskatchewan teacher certification and produce a satisfactory current criminal records/vulnerable sector check as conditions of employment.  Options exist for the successful candidate to participate in either the Saskatchewan or Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Pension Fund.
